Honorary curator at the Otago Museum; of Opoho, Dunedin  -  On August 7, 2026, peacefully at  his home.  Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Philip and Maricar, and Martin, loved uncle of Maria, Michael, and Helen-Esther, treasured cousin of Kathie, and Sheena, beloved friend of Allison, and Torfrida.  Tony will be sadly missed by all his friends, workmates and his many readers of his weekly ODT nature File.

A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, Dunedin at 2pm on Wednesday, August 12, followed by private cremation.  Messages can be left on Tony's page at www.hopeandsons.co.nz where there is a link to the service.
